These are art prints made in the screen printing process, also called Serigraphy. These special prints score with their rich and thick-layered color application as well as the ability to add effect pigments.

Real metallic art prints

We can also reproduce pictorial artworks that use metallization such as gold leafor golden acrylic paint. A classic example is reproductions of paintings by the painter Gustav Klimt, which sell well especially in Austrian city tourism. Also modern sculptural artists, who work with metal, can get exhibition posters and catalogs in the appropriate metallic optic. In addition to gold, silver and copper, there is a wide range of metallic chromatic colors as well as hologram effects for art prints.

Exceptional materials for art prints and exhibition spaces

When it comes to printing on unusual materials, we are also involved in the design of exhibition spaces. For example, the MUMOK in Vienna had around 300m² of wall space wallpapered with real linen printed by us.

Art prints are often printed on watercolor paper or museum paper board. However, we are often also asked to reproduce artistic designs on thick gray cardboard, flocked velvet, imitation leather, wood panels, plastic films, acrylic glass and crazy stuff like sandpaper or even – not joking – toilet paper.

Imitation of artist’s own techniques

We particularly enjoy the reproduction of an artist’s own technique and the resulting look. The aim here is to reproduce the artistic work as realistic as possible. One successful example was a cover for Herbert Hinteregger, an artist who paints with the pasty ink of ballpoint pens. This leaves behind rough and thickly layered surfaces, which we have reproduced in a tactile way on his catalog cover for the art-interested public to instantly get the real touch of his work.

Many painters also use the technical possibilities to optimize their work:

Limited small series

Limited small series of art prints, for example, can also be numbered on the printing side.

Preprints for overpainting

Preprints of a basic image on watercolor cardboard, for subsequent overpainting by the artist, enable a series of art prints of the same image, in which each painting is nevertheless individually different in color and style.

Adaptation of paintings to exhibition spaces

Sometimes pictures are in an unfavorable size for the exhibition or should contribute more to the staging: We print these then accordingly enlarged and gladly also additionally in surprising kind of the presentation, for example if a picture comes along as a 4m diameter walkable floor surface to welcome the visitors.

Mixed media

In addition to serigraphs or metallizations, there are often other techniques for art prints, such as inkjet printing (“digital screen printing”), embossing, partial gloss varnishes or effect colors, such as neon colors or glitter pigments. In art circles, this is referred to as a “mixed technique” print.

Art prints as corporate gifts

We also produce art prints for companies, for example as Christmas gifts to business partners or to decorate ones company rooms.

The following are some of the artists and art institutions for whom we have printed art prints or helped to design the covers of art catalogs and art books (the order in which they are named is random):

Ines Doujak, Herbert Hinteregger, Christian Ludwig Attersee, Ona B., Tone Fink, Georg Nenz (Czernin), Gerhard Czervenka, John, Helmuth Parthl, Hermann Nitsch, Andreas Fogarasi, Wolfgang Paalen, Steirischer Herbst, Rosemarie Trockel, Piotr Szyhalski, Mounira Al Solh, Dr. Gottfried Reszner, Amanullah Mojadidi, Dana Sherwood, Horst G.
